It's been pretty busy the last couple of months here at Beautiful Savior. There was so much preparation that went into the Lenten dinners, Easter Egg Hunt and our Easter Breakfast. So I want to take the time and thank everyone for their hard work.
Our soup was made by Vicki Best (and I'm sure her husband Greg helped). Very delicious! Our kitchen staff, (too many to name, you know who you are). Also for everyone who brought in dessert or salads for the dinners.
In March we had about 32 families join in on the fun of delivering about 850 flyers in our neighborhood for the Easter Egg Hunt which proved to be a success! Some of the families even joined us on Easter Sunday! Along with delivering flyers, just over 900 eggs were stuffed. Many people came over to help with the stuffing which I was very grateful for.
The signs that were put up also made a difference, and the tent out front invited the people in! We received information from 15 different families in our community that attended our Easter Hunt. The sun may have been hiding, but the kids didn't mind, those eggs vanished within 15 minutes!
Easter breakfast was no short task either. A lot of planning had been going on to make sure everyone had something to eat. Thank you to all of the kitchen cookers, servers and cleaners. I also want to thank everyone who provided Danish and other sweets for the breakfast.
Easter Sunday you may have noticed that you registered on a "Connection Card" in your bulletins (color will be changing periodically) instead of our attendance pads on the pew. Well the reason behind this is so that it makes it easier for us to get information from visitors. If they see everyone writing their information on these yellow slips of paper, they are more inclined to do it as well. The reason they are being placed in the offering basket also makes our visitors feel as if they are placing something of value in the basket, and it is very valuable!
On the back of our connection card (yellow piece of paper) you will notice we have some areas where you can become involved. Just check a box if you are able, or if you have questions just ask Pastor or myself and we would be happy to answer them.
Once again I want to thank everyone for all the hours that were put in these past few months.
