It's been pretty busy the last couple of months here at Beautiful Savior.  There was so much preparation that went into the Lenten dinners, Easter Egg Hunt and our Easter Breakfast.  So I want to take the time and thank everyone for their hard work.

Sunday April 6, at 3:30 p.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, a special Installation Service for Rev. Richard Raabe will take place. A Fellowship meal in Fellowship will follow the service. Join us!

Beautiful Savior's Dartball Team finished first in the tourment and brought home the trophey. Congratulations, A job well done!

Everyone is invited to gather at Cooper Park Pavilion on March 10, at 6:30 p.m. for a meeting to start planning for 2008 Kops Park activities. Items to be discuss are;

The Great American Clean-up, Memorial Day weekend BBQ/Concert, Pavilion spruce-up, summer activities for kids, concerts, movies and disc golf in the park, etc...

At the March 9th church service, the church memebers were informed that       Rev. Richard Raabe has accepted the position as a full-time Pastor to Beautiful Savior.

Tuesday, March 11th is the Ladies Guild annual "Fun & Games Day". Please bring a sandwich lunch and a dollar wrapped gift for "Giveaway Bingo". Snacks will be served.

Your help is needed on March 22nd to set up for the Easter Breakfast. Please plan to meet at Fellowship at noon. Sign up on sheet posted on next to "The Grapevine".

Easter Fellowship Breakfast will be at 9:00 a.m. March 23rd. Please sign up on "The Grapevine". If you would like to donate baked goods please sign up on the Volunteer sheet.

December 16th, at 10:15 the congregation will be reviewing and voting on a list of candidates for the Pastoral Call. Please plan on staying after the 9:00 a.m. service to attend the meeting.

A Christmas tree has been set up in the Parish lobby as a Gving Tree. Please place any donations of scarves, hats, gloves, mittens or infant wear etc... on the tree. The donations will be given to local charities.

The Daffodile bulbs have been planted in Outdoor Classroom Garden on 85th and Auer. Kop's Neighborhood Park Association needs help covering bulbs with wood chips. If you have time to share,  Please help out on Friday Nov. 23, at 10-11 am. Bring wheel barrels, shovels, and pitch forks. Kevin will bring hot coffe and brownies.

Beauitful Savior is hoping to have Movie Night once a month. Please look for the next  movie title, day, and time either in the church bulletin or here on our  web site.

Thanksgiving Services will be held on Wednesday, November 21st at 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, November 22nd at 9:00 a.m.

The Home Depot on 124th and Capital Dr. has thoughtfully donated 500 Daffodil Bulbs for our Sustainable Outdoor Garden on 85th and Auer St. This Sunday, from 8AM to 9AM. The  Kops Park Neighborhood Association will be  planting the bulbs for just one short hour. I know this is right before church service, but if you wish to help please bring  bulb planters or small shovels.

The Milwaukee School of Languages (MSL) and the City of Milwaukee Division of Forestry are partnering in the creation of an outdoor garden classroom at the triangle boulevard at the intersection of 85^th and Auer Ave. Construction of the garden is scheduled in early September. The garden will be a low maintenance sustainable garden using primarily native prairie flowers.  MSL students, faculty and neighbors will plant and care for the garden, which will become an outdoor classroom designed to educate the students and neighbors on:

·        Sustainable Gardens (a garden primarily planted with perennial plants requiring little watering, weeding or maintenance.)

·        Wisconsin Ecology

         ·        Plant Identification
