The following is from a monthly letter that I recently received from Ron Walters – Vice President of Pastoral Care at Salem Communications. Salem Communications heads up the AM radio station – The Word (AM 540), as well as the FM station known as The Fish (105.3 FM) Each month I, as well as most pastors in our area, receive a letter of encouragement – usually containing some interesting facts as well. And this month, though the letter is aimed toward pastors, I would like to share excerpts of it with you.

Not too many years ago, a book written by Rick Warren focused on churches becoming purpose-driven through Jesus Christ. The book? A Purpose Driven Church. Warren essentially shared a five-point strategy that would allow churches to grow – fellowship, discipleship, worship, ministry, and evangelism.
